Complex verb

Verb meaning: LOAD [load]

Comment: Means 'load to overflowing', 'fill'. It is the derived causative form of the verb apls 'overflow'. This is an unusual example of the aspectual choice affecting the case frame: it appears that the perfective, which has the meaning 'to overflowing', puts the theme in the absolutive, while the imperfective, which means 'to the brim', puts it in the locative. So far this is the only verb attested like this.
