Simplex verb

Verb meaning: HIDE [hide]

Comment: Though the basic meaning of this verb is 'hide', in some contexts the verb wérnis can also mean 'steal'. Note that the source of the stolen goods is specified as a possessive phrase only, so that reciprocals are then coded using the reciprocal pronoun only, rather than the verb-coded reciprocal, which requires that the reciprocant be one of the verbally-indexed arguments in the original frame.
