sedere

Simplex verb

Verb meaning: SIT [sit]

Comment: The verb sedere in its non-reflexive form denotes a state (Mario siede 'Mario is seated'), whilst the corresponding reflexive form sedersi denotes a change of state (Mario si siede 'Mario takes a seat') (Salvi & Vanelli 2004: 50, Cennamo 2011: 3).
