Basic Coding frame
Description
Basic transitive construction:
[ [ Pn ]PC.i [ W ]V.tr -Absj [ P ]NP.j [ A ]NP .i ]VCC
"A affects / acts on P."
The transitive subject function (actor) is the same for different semantic roles, including agents and experiencers. The subject and direct object (P) are cross-referenced on the transitive verb. The actants themselves are optional, not case-marked and may occur in any order, although subject-final order is the default.
