wérnis

show comment

Though the basic meaning of this verb is 'hide', in some contexts the verb wérnis can also mean 'steal'. Note that the source of the stolen goods is specified as a possessive phrase only, so that reciprocals are then coded using the reciprocal pronoun only, rather than the verb-coded reciprocal, which requires that the reciprocant be one of the verbally-indexed arguments in the original frame.
