There are many corresponding expressions depending on the degree of necessity of the thing asked and the social standing of the person and manner of asking, mostly consisting of sino-korean vocabulary such as 'yo', 'gu', or 'cheong', thus: yoguhada, cheongguhada, yocheonghada.
This verb displays a meaning between requesting more forcefully and asking (cf. German
fordern).
